Servers
In a private club setting, Take orders from patrons for food or beverages.
Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
Inform customers of daily specials.
Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaning.
Serve food and/or beverages to patrons; prepare and serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff. Inquire>
Short Order Cook
Prepare, season, and cook, salads, soups, fish, meats, vegetables, desserts, or other foods. May plan and price menu items, order supplies, and keep records and accounts. Participate in cooking all food items according to customer’s specifications. Assist head chef in routine preparation of meals and clean up of kitchen. Inquire>
Bartender
Mix and serve drinks to patrons, directly or through waitstaff. Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, in order to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer. Collect money for drinks served. Assist servers with poolside customers. Inquire>
